Eliminate variability from treatment plans
By using state-of-the-art planetary mixing equipment and third-party potency verification, we give you confidence that what you prescribe is exactly what your patients will get.
What we offer your practice
With over a decade of experience as a dedicated compounding lab, we provide physicians, veterinarians, and nurse practitioners in Burlington, across the GTA, and throughout Ontario with precise, independently verified formulations. We prioritize a communication standard that keeps you informed, so you are never left wondering about a patient’s therapy status.
We are not a general pharmacy that compounds on the side. Compounding is our primary focus. We have designed our lab, invested in our equipment, and trained our team specifically for this purpose.
Clinicians across the GTA refer to us because it eliminates a critical diagnostic variable: whether the medication was prepared to exact specifications.
Reliability & communication standards
We understand that a communication gap or a delayed prescription doesn’t just affect your patients; it creates an administrative burden for your clinic. We have structured our internal operations to ensure that our Burlington pharmacy is a reliable partner to you and your practice.
- Fast turnaround: Most compounds are completed within 24-48 hours depending on the formulation to ensure therapy begins without delay.
- Direct clinical access: You have direct-line access to our compounding pharmacists for prescription queries. No phone trees or administrative delays.
- Physician-first clarification: If a prescription requires clinical clarification, we contact your office directly. We do not put the patient in the middle of clinical discussions.
- Integrated shipping: We provide Canada-wide shipping to maintain continuity of care for patients located outside of Burlington.
My experience with Progressive Pharmacy and Compounding, Archana Kumar and the other team members exceeds all expectations. Archana will also communicate with my doctor’s office swiftly and effectively.
I have been going to Progressive since I began my hormone treatment. Archana has been my go-to, and I fully trust her advice. Recommended to anyone who needs a new pharmacy or is new to compounding.
Why clinicians refer their patients to our Burlington pharmacy
Clinical homogeneity
The most common failure point in compounding is poor dispersion of active ingredients. Unlike manual methods, we utilize planetary mixing equipment to achieve true homogeneity. This ensures your patient receives the exact concentration in every dose, from the first pump to the last, eliminating any potential manufacturing-related variability.
Independent potency verification
A facility license only confirms the space meets minimum requirements; it does not guarantee the product’s potency. We periodically submit finished compounds to independent third-party laboratories for verification. We provide this level of transparency so you can adjust prescriptions based on patient response with absolute confidence in the medication’s integrity.
Specialist education & facility standards
Our team has advanced compounding training through PCCA. Furthermore our Burlington facility features a dedicated negative-pressure lab specifically for hazardous hormone preparations. We meet applicable OCP and NAPRA compounding standards.
Collaborative clinical advocacy
We act as an extension of your practice. When a patient reports that a therapy is not meeting expectations, we don’t just “fill the script.” We can provide you with detailed compounding notes and clinical recommendations to help you refine the treatment plan. Our goal is to support ongoing optimization of patient outcomes, not simply dispense medication.
Therapeutic areas we cover
We compound across a wide range of clinical specialties. If you need something specific, chances are we have made it before.
Hormone optimization (BHRT & TRT)
Precise titration of bioidentical estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. We accommodate complex dosing schedules and various delivery systems (topical, sublingual) to match your patient’s physiologic requirements. We emphasize clean, hypoallergenic bases to ensure maximum patient compliance and absorption.
Women’s health & gynecology
Targeted therapies for hormone-related and vulvovaginal conditions, including vaginal dryness, vulvar pain, and progesterone intolerance. We work with prescribers to tailor formulations based on patient response, tolerability, and preference.
Men’s health
Compounded options to support testosterone therapy, hair loss (e.g., finasteride/minoxidil), erectile dysfunction and other men’s health concerns. We offer flexible dosing and delivery forms when commercial options are limited or not well tolerated.
Paediatric compounding
Weight-and-age-specific dosing in patient-friendly delivery forms (flavoured liquids, gummies, or topicals). We specialize in dye-free, sugar-free, and preservative-free formulations for patients with high sensitivities.
Veterinary compounding
Custom formulations for animals when commercial veterinary products are unavailable, discontinued, or poorly tolerated. We compound flavoured oral liquids, transdermal gels, and species-appropriate capsules.
Targeted pain management
Customized topical and transdermal preparations in patient-specific concentrations and combinations, including specialized dosage forms when commercially manufactured options are limited.
Clinical dermatology
Custom-strength topicals, including tretinoin, hydroquinone, and hair regrowth compounds (Finasteride/Minoxidil). We utilize non-comedogenic bases and concentrations not available through commercial manufacturers.
Allergy sensitive formulations
Medications tailored for patients with sensitivities or intolerances. We can prepare formulations free from certain excipients such as dyes, lactose, gluten, or preservatives, depending on clinical needs.
Shortage & discontinued medication support
API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) sourcing for compounded preparations when commercially manufactured products are unavailable or discontinued. Please contact us before discontinuing therapy—we may be able to provide a compounded alternative.
The credentials behind the compounds
Our facility in Burlington is fully compliant with OCP and NAPRA standards for hazardous and non-hazardous compounding, featuring dedicated negative-pressure lab space specifically for hormone preparations. Our clinical team holds advanced knowledge from industry leaders in compounding education, including PCCA and Medisca.
We maintain active referral relationships with clinical partners across the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario. If you are interested in establishing a formal referral arrangement or protocol for your practice, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss.
